Last updated: 1 October 2026. This notice explains how we handle your data when you apply for and take part in the Emberline closed beta on emberline.kobasic.dev. The game itself has its own privacy policy.
Who we are
Andrija Rotter Kobasić, an independent developer based in Croatia operating as Kobasic, runs the beta and is responsible for your data. Contact: kobasic@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your application: name or nickname, email address (the Google account you use on Google Play), country, phone model, Android version, how you found the game and, if you tell us, what you like to play.
- Your consents: when you agreed to this notice, and whether you want build emails.
- Your tester account: tester number, a securely hashed password or the ID of your linked Google account, when you signed in, and whether you've installed the beta.
- What you send us: reports, ideas, survey answers, and the screenshots or videos you attach. Images are re-saved when uploaded, which removes hidden details such as location.
- Security: to stop abuse we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address and count sign-in attempts. It is deleted within 24 hours.
Why we use it
To choose testers, give you access to the test on Google Play, send you the emails you need (confirmation, your ticket, password links and, if you want, build news), fix problems you report, and improve the game. We never use your data for advertising and never sell it.
Who else sees it
- Google Play: to let you install the closed test, we add your email address to the tester list in Google Play Console.
- Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity to us; we receive your email, name and an account ID.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and database on servers in the EU.
How long we keep it
Until the beta ends, then 30 days more — or until you delete your account, whichever comes first. Applications that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Reports without personal details may be kept to improve the game.
Your choices and rights
You can turn build emails off, change your details or delete your tester account at any time under Account in the tester depot. Under the GDPR you may also ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its use. Email kobasic@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or your local authority.
Cookies
The beta pages use only necessary cookies: one that keeps you signed in to the depot (30 days) and one that shows a message after you submit a form (2 minutes). No tracking or advertising cookies.
